A field of sunflowers is so picturesque and hard to resist. Every summer a local grower near me plants acres of these iconic beauties that can be seen from the road. Like a classic scene from Provence the hundreds of big, bright, yellow faces conjure a feeling of happiness, nostalgia and romance and I find myself drawn to them every time. This painting is a memory of summer days spent in those fields amongst these towering charmers.
